Founded by a group of DMV residents in 1868 post civil war, the bank has been a pillar of the Washington metropolitan area ever since.
Over a century and a half since they first opened their doors, Sandy Spring Bank proudly serves as one of the oldest and largest independent financial institutions in the area.
They are the alternative to the large, out of town banks, having never wavered from the guiding principles of our their humble beginnings.
